Tub time 'pritties'

I gave Lorelai a fun surprise tonight at bath time. I found a pack of glow sticks in the dollar bin at target. So tonight I cracked them open and threw them in the bath water and turned out the lights. She spent her bath time chasing them around the tub saying pritty over and over. It sure was a hit!

Stuck

I came across these in my phone and just love them so much that I had to share! This happened a few months back, I was showering and Lorelai was playing with some toys in the bathroom. I was just about done when I hear this blood curdling scream. So naturally I jump out to see what happened and I find the cupboard door under the sink trying to open. Inside I find what you see here, a scared lil Lorelai that had figured out how to climb into the cupboard and then shut the door behind her. But the part that was freaking her out was she couldn't  figure how to crawl back out, instead she was trying to stand all the way up and walk out, which in turn made her hit her head over and over again. Don't worry I rescued the lil lady and gave her some love, after I got these pictures of course.

Tub fun

Took these the other day, Lorelai had just styled her own hair/tried washing her own hair and I thought it was too cute so I got my camera out quick. It's funny I can never get her to look and let alone smile at the camera, except when she does something she thinks is cute or funny. Then she becomes miss social for the camera, and after each picture she says 'baby, baby' and grabs at the camera so she can look at the pictures of the 'baby.' Which is exactly what happened here.

Distressed DIY sign

Alright so I've made two of these signs so far and had people ask how to do it so I thought it was easiest to just show you.
Step one: Distress the Crap out of a piece of wood by using a hammer, nails, screws, or whatever you have laying around.
Step two: Paint the wood with some paint one sign I used acrylic paint, the other one i used just wall paint I had sitting in the garage.  You can also water it down for a more mellow look too.
Step three: Sand down the dry painted surface to distress it as little or as much as you would like.
Step four: Get a sharpie and tape ready for the next step
Step five: Type up what you are wanting your sign to read, and then turn it so it reads backwards, I used Adobe Photo shop.  Then print it out and cut it apart so it sits on the sign how you want it to read.
Step six: Fill a cup with water and get a paint brush.
Step seven: Tape down wording ink side down on your wood so it stays put
Step eight: use the paint brush and brush water on to paper so it is wet and the ink it pretty dark, I did word by word, so not sure how it would work it you did one whole saying at once.
Step nine: take the butt end of the sharpie and rub diagonally both ways on each letter so it transfers over well.
Step ten: take of the paper and your done! If you want your lettering a little darker you can dilute down black paint and paint in the letters as well, I didn't do that on either that I made.
Completed projects!

Workin' lady

We went to visit Daddy at work the other day and Lorelai had some book work she needed to get done before we left.
